Joining the 5 Faves crowd again this week at Call Her Happy, with some of my favorite causes worth supporting!
Here is a young man (click the link here for his story!) from a devoted Catholic family, hoping to make a pilgrimage to Rome as part of his priestly discernment process. While in Rome, he plans to offer intentions at Masses for anyone who helps him reach his goal. I think this is a great idea, and whoever would like to contribute directly can find his GoFundMe page here. OR, if you buy the Ultimate Homemaking Bundle through my link this week, all the commissions I make will go towards this and other of my favorite causes (see below!). You’ll be doing more with your money, which is important to many of us, I know. Keep it in mind!
Cameron’s Diabetic Alert Dog
I’ve shared Cameron’s story before. He’s a great kid! And, he and his mom *still* need lots of help to get the dog which will help him manage his diabetes and help keep him safe. See here for the GoFundMe page.
Henry’s Autism Support Dog
You can support Henry’s family in fundraising for an autism support dog by shopping a Lilla Rose party! It is a public FB party, so if you are interested or know someone possibly interested, hop on over! This is a win-win: you get lovelies for your hair (or your daughter’s, or mom’s, or niece’s…) AND your money will go towards this great cause. I know Henry’s mom through a Catholic moms’ group on FB, and she is just the sweetest mom, not to mention a strong, incredible advocate for her son. She is inspiring!
Support for a family of 8 children, widowed mother
I just…can’t even imagine. On a day that should have been all joy for this family, a terrible accident took the life of this father, just hours before his 8th child was born. Read their story here on the GoFundMe page.
Mary Queen of Heaven Missionaries
These nuns are a powerhouse of inspiration. First of all, aren’t they just great in PINK HABITS?! (You have to go see on their page. I am not about to violate copyright laws on photos of nuns.) These women go into the poor areas of the Philippines, and rescue women from prostitution. “We provide them a temporary place they can call “home” where they can have their spiritual, emotional and social reformation. Furthermore, we will also train and equip them with skills for a decent source of livelihood.” (quote from their homepage). That is so amazing! What bravery, courage, love, and hope is shown in their ministry! And imagine how many lives are transformed and healed through this work.
