Embrace the Ordinary vol. 7

| |

There’s a thing about doing the same sort of post weekly…sometimes the days fly by until it’s posting time.

This week, I’ve been working on resting and organizing, and not doing either one very well. I still have hope for myself, though, as I work through the lessons about learning to love what must be done. So far, I’ve been working through just the first module, thinking on the tips for days at a time. Tonight I finally took a few minutes to write out some of my thoughts. I figure it’s time I stop running from the needs of my household and family…time to learn to love what must be done, and embrace that ordinary will be sometimes crazy, but when I’m on top of it, I can manage.

Bit by bit, I’ll put these new ideas into practice, form new habits, and bless our home.

Tell me about your week. How do you manage all the things?

Would you like to co-host with me sometime? Drop me a note! It is easy and won’t take much time, I promise.

  1. I embraced the ordinary by going school supply shopping with my daughter for the first time. We’ve homeschooled our children for many years, my daughter is my youngest and is profoundly deaf. After 5 years, I felt the Holy Spirit nudging to send her to private school for the Deaf . We found an amazing one – it will be a long day for her, but I know it is best. So…. we move into a new world of PT conferences, PTO, remembering lunch $$ and gym shoes.

  2. This morning we moved a couch aside so the kids could set up ALL the playmobil. It’s a mess, but I’m so thankful my 5 are here at home and, for the most part, playing happily together. I know I’ll blink and they will be grown and I will miss this.

  3. I loved this because it’s so much of what I’ve been focusing on lately, also. Organizing, prioritizing, and implementing consumed much of my week last week, so… I still haven’t gotten around to e-mailing you 🙂 I will!
    Thanks for the link-up opportunity!
