Embrace the Ordinary vol. 9

Good morning! I am running a little later than usual on posting this link-up…because I had a chance to sleep in for the first time in a loooong time. It was nice, although I do also (shockingly) enjoy being up earlier than everyone else and having some quiet in the mornings.

20140909boysframed copyThese two are up by 6:45 (or sooner) every morning. Every. Single. Morning. It isn’t so bad now that they can get their own cereal…but then they aren’t full and need more food. They are active, growing boys! I can’t imagine what life is going to be like when they are teens!!!

  1. Hi Gina! I promise I’m not stalking you… but once again your life is a mirror image of mine 🙂 I got to sleep until 8 today!!!!! That hasn’t happened in a billion years (it feels like). One way I try to stay sane is to be up and alert before my kids get up, but our boys are up at 6 every day, so sleeping in is a serious luxury!
You’re guys are so sweet. I love the photo, especially the worn knees on the jeans! I like to say that worn knees and dirt means they must have been having fun 🙂

  2. Hey Gina, I linked up a post of 5 things I loved about this week. They were all pretty ordinary, so I hope that’s OK.

Not sure how I’d survive if my kids were early risers. Teaching them to get their own breakfast was one of the best things I ever did as a mom. 😉

  3. I evidently love taking pictures of my children reading. Do you suppose it is because they’re quiet? I’ll never tell. LOL
