Well. The weekend sure is flying by for me. After celebrating my daughter’s tenth birthday on Friday, I spent yesterday going on a so-called run (“so-called” because I haven’t run in a month, I was pushing the stroller, and basically having a really hard time. Oh well. At least I was out!), trying to finish shopping for Thanksgiving, and attempting to find Christmas dresses for the girls. By 8pm we finally had a big enough turkey, didn’t find any dresses, but had enjoyed a nice evening out as a family running the errands and eating out at Chipotle. Now I’m looking forward to a cozy Sunday at home, watching “Frozen” with the kids (it is snowing here, so it’s a perfect choice for the day), and hopefully getting some fabric cut for my next quilt.
Basically, I’m soaking up the moments that make our life what it is, and spending fewer of those moments online. It’s the best way to embrace this ordinary life of mine.
