You know how long it’s been since since I did a 7QT post? Neither do I. Seems like everyone has fun with this link-up still, and it happens to be a great way for me to share the quilt project I’m working on, as well as ideas for a new baby quilt. You excited? Cuz I am. All my quilting buddies, raise your hands.
Last year, I bought this darling quilt kit from Craftsy, on sale. What could be better than a kit with instructions and fabric? Ok, maybe having the quilt done already, but where is the thrill in that?! After finishing Firecracker’s quilt before he was born, then doing the quilt for Craft Hope, I realized that I really enjoy this hobby and wanted to make one for our family.
My goal is to finish this quilt before the cold weather returns. I mean, before fall, because it can snow here through May. I won’t be finished with this before June, unless a miracle occurs.
I have all kinds of quilt designs saved on Pinterest. My eye keeps going back to a chevron design. Is the chevron too over-done?
Once I am ready to do the actual quilting on this quilt, I’m going to turn to Craftsy (new affiliate for me! I’m so excited! I love Craftsy. As will all the affiliates, when you click through and buy something from them, I get a portion back to help run the block and feed my hobby.) and check out one or two of their awesome quilting tutorials. So far, I’ve only done straight lines on my quilts…but maybe I’m ready for a challenge and more designs in the actual quilting!
Just one more plug for Craftsy
and the Ultimate Homemaking Bundle. One of the bonuses in the bundle is a credit for a class from Craftsy, ranging from cookie decorating (I have my eye on that one!), gardening, photography, sewing, and more. IT IS SUCH A SWEET DEAL. And remember, all the proceeds I earn from the sale of the bundle through my link go to one of these 5 great causes. Thanks for helping me help them out!!
