Embrace the Ordinary vol. 2

|
“…there is something holy, something divine hidden in the most ordinary situations, and it is up to each one of you to discover it.”  St. Josemaria Escriva, Passionately Loving the World
Are those words not some of the most encouraging words? Something holy and divine in the most ordinary situation…I think I could (should!) read them every.single.day. (probably many times) as a reminder, not only that something divine is in all the ordinary stuff of my life, but as a reminder and kick in the pants that I need to get busy discovering it.
So I embrace the ordinary. As part of my journey towards simplifying and finding God more in my life, I’m spending time to slow down and discover–embrace–the ordinary.

  1. You know that I love this so much 🙂 And the #createspace as well?? Genius. I love it. So, I’ve got to step off for now. Don’t worry about what else there is to “do” — there is always *something* on the blog/computer/email. Sheesh. But right now? I’m heading to embrace the ordinary even more and to create space in my life 🙂

Thank you for inspiring me. ~Jenna

  2. Hi Gina! I think I got my link in just under the wire – it’s been a rough few days and I was having a hard time finding something to embrace, but finally decided it was the struggle I’d write about. Thanks for this link-up. I love it!

  3. That is the first time I’ve read that quote and I love it. I copied it into my prayer journal so I could remind myself again. 🙂 I was going to link up this week but alas, I was a day late. I’ll try again next week!

    1. I enjoyed reading your post that linked back here, though! Maybe I will extend the link-up by one day anyway to give more people more time to join!
