Answer Me This

Wouldn’t you know, I’ve been tagged by Kendra to play along in her virtual cocktail party this week! (Now, where are the actual cocktails? I think I’ll be mixing one up here soon…)
1. What’s your favorite thing on YouTube?
Tough question, because I don’t spend much time on YouTube. I like to watch some a cappella artists, like (some of the work by) Mike Tompkins, Peter Hollens, and Pentatonix.

These artists do covers and original songs, and they are SO GOOD. Their covers are often better than the originals (in my opinion!).

2. Who taught you to drive?
My parents. What patience, I tell ya. I dread teaching my kids to drive. Good thing there is Master Drive!

3. What’s your favorite thing to cook?
Wow, hmm…favorite thing? I guess that depends on the day, my mood, what the kids will eat… I love to cook new things and try to recipes, so having a favorite is not easy when I try new things often! But since I have to choose (otherwise what a boring answer this would be), I’m going to give TWO answers.

I love to cook beebimbop and I also love a good pasta sauce, so my (newly) super-secret recipe ragu/marinara mash-up sauce is also exciting to cook. But I’m not ever going to share the secret to that one, because I’m just a wee bit excited to have a recipe with a secret ingredient.

4. Are you a hugger or a non-hugger? Why?
Well, I’m a girl, and can be moody (so maybe I haven’t mastered the art of overcoming hormone changes), and so sometimes I’m a hugger, and sometimes not. Also, I’m introverted, a mom to 5 kids, so some nights I’m definitely NOT a hugger by the time 8:30pm rolls around. All the touching–just, I love hugs, love my kids, but sometimes a girl needs space! If you are a friend I haven’t seen for a long time, yup, I’m going to hug you. If you’re an acquaintance, probably not going to hug you.
5. Where do you pray best?
In silence, wherever I can find it. So, the church, when I’m solo.

6. When is the last time you saw/spoke to your grandparents?
I have one living grandparent left–my grandfather on my mom’s side–and I last saw him about 2 months ago, when we celebrated a First Holy Communion.
I’ll tag a few people who might want to play along:

  1. Um. That Bee Bim Bop recipe looks delish! I’ll be trying that when we get back home. I mean, meat and rice? Can’t go wrong with that.

    1. It’s a family staple, at this point. I’d never heard of it before getting married, either. My hubs is half Korean, and it’s a Korean dish. Let me know if you try it!
