Snowy Days

**The giveaway ends tonight. Or, depending on when you read this, ended around midnight MST Monday. I PROMISE to have winners announced by Wednesday morning.**

So, life around here looks a lot like this lately.

But then again, on Saturday (you know, 2 whole days ago), it was 56 degrees and I went for a 2.2 mile run. In the slush from last week’s snow, sure…but still.

This snowy winter is keeping me busier than I’d have hoped/expected. In my dream-land, I’d stay indoors with a hot drink and sew and read and bake and read… In my reality-land, 5 of 5 children want to be outside playing in the snow, 3 of 5 children need help getting their snow gear on, the driveway needs shoveling, laundry needs doing, noses need wiping, hot cocoa needs making. In reality-land, we make great memories. I’m ever so grateful to be able to be home to make the memories with my kids, so I won’t complain too much that very little sewing or reading is happening. And, the other great thing is that we’re able to take advantage of playing in the snow whenever we want because we’re not tied to a school schedule.

If you hear that it’s snowing in the Rockies, we’ll probably be playing in it.

  1. putting gloves on little hands, two fingers in one finger hole… Oooh! Such a good opportunity to practice patience!

  2. Beautiful! Gosh I wish our cold brought snow and not just yuck and dry cold. Guess we’ll just have to visit y’all sometime! Also, I don’t think I’ve told you this but my husband and I honeymooned in Pagosa Springs and absolutely loved it. 🙂
