Tidbits and Good Web Finds

|

I began this on Monday, and to update how the week went, two boys were sick on Monday, and one is only just now starting to act more like himself after spending 4 days on the couch. Poor little Firecracker. Now it’s Saturday, and once again pouring rain, so my long run might be traded for another indoor workout and shopping for a treadmill.

It’s been a week. I woke up every hour, slept on the couch, traded my Monday run for a pilates workout. There’s a weird tummy ache plaguing my family, and it’s derailed my half-marathon training (hopefully only momentarily). So instead of running like I normally do each Monday morning, I began what I hope to be a series of posts that share links and thoughts, things I’d share with a friend if I had a friend to chat with every day. Don’t worry; I have friends! It’s just that I’m so busy I can’t actually chat every day like I used to. Please leave some comments and help me pretend that adults still share quality thoughts with each other via blogs. (let’s hope I’m not getting your hopes up too much for some great blog posts coming down the pipe. I can either blog or run. Run or fold laundry. Fold laundry or bake muffins. Bake muffins or blog. You get the idea. Large family life.)

I promised click-worthy links! Here they are: posts I’ve read and products I love. Let me know what you’re loving, (or selling, even) and I’ll add some of your click-worthy shares next time.

This post about the sacredness of the hidden life speaks to me.

Try a five-minute sacrifice during Lent. Or anytime, really.

There’s also this lovely idea for Lent, about being present. I’m convicted.

A reading list for Catholic teens and young adults! Or regular adults.

You can still order a Lent devotional from Blessed Is She, hard copy or digital.

I have plenty of Sacred Heart stickers still, and these would be a fun addition to Easter Baskets!

Or try subscribing to the Pink Salt Riot Joy Box for quarterly surprise boxes of inspirational jewelry, that is perfect for gifting.

I’m loving the new Holy Spirit earrings–they’re in my cart! For as often as I pray “Come, Holy Spirit!” out loud through my day, I think these are perfect for me. 😉
