Imperfectly Domestic: 31 Ways to Do It Anyway

|

Joining with the Nester for 31 days of blogging in October, and I am going to share how I do life, imperfectly. Honesty in blogging, yo. I am not so great at keeping house, don’t have perfectly still and prayerful kids at Mass, sometimes cook from a box, and pretend to be crafty. I’m no Martha Stewart when it comes down to the domestic life, but I keep doing it. After all, God did call me to be a wife and mother, and no one else is meant to do these homemaking, family-building, and faith-stengthening things but me.

During all of October, I will share my tricks, my fails, my ways to make this imperfect domestic life work. I hope you will laugh with me, learn a little something, and share your own tips and stories in the comments. Topics in this imperfectly domestic series include faith (and what happens when I take wiggly boys to Adoration), food (kitchen fails and favorite recipes included), family life (take your pick from bedtime woes, climbing toddlers, or tween girls), everday mom-life things (why I don’t like fancy nail things but love polished toes), and more. If you subscribe, you won’t miss a single one of the amazingly honest snipits about my rather imperfect and normal life.

If nothing else, you can give me bits of your wisdom so I can tweak my skills. Lord knows I am a work in progress, in need of refining and perfecting!

  2. I think this is one of the loveliest ideas I’ve heard in a while. I am truly looking forward to reading every day! I’m wondering if I can think up as great an idea for a whole month’s worth of writing… my wheels are spinning 🙂
